On Sunday September 26, 2010, the Open de Moselle was held in Metz, France. The overall winner was Gilles Simmons who became the fourth French winner in the tournament’s history. Simmons defeated his opponent Mischa Zverey with a score of 6-3, 6-2. Originally Giles was not going to attend this competition but decided to come after his wife gave birth to his son prematurely on September 2nd. Giles Simmons came in to this tennis tournament, just recovering from a knee injury, and left a champion.
